Fort Lauderdale’s Premier Intracoastal Properties

Fort Lauderdale is a great example of what an international resort-style city is all about.

The kind of city that attracts the world’s citizens who desire a relaxing lifestyle surrounded by beaches and waterways, gorgeous tropical weather, and a plethora of upscale amenities and entertainment options.

It’s a residential tropical paradise – within the comfort of the US.

Something that sets Fort Lauderdale apart from most other South Florida cities is it’s beautiful rows of sprawling waterfront properties. Ft. Lauderdale is home to some of the most luxurious real estate to grace the Intracoastal Waterway leading to direct ocean access.

These homes have come to define some of Fort Lauderdale’s most sought after real estate.

Just look at that gorgeous scene.

But first a little background information:

The Intracoastal Waterway is a 3000-mile navigable inland path of connected waterways along the U.S. coasts of the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico where boats can travel without needing to brave the hazards of the open sea.
Most of Fort Lauderdale’s most breath-taking homes sit right on top of its waters, and it’s the one of the very reasons why so many yachtsmen love it here.

But why is that?

Well, all around the country, and throughout the world, there are yacht owners with dreams of going into their backyard, hopping aboard their watercraft, and heading out to sea.

For almost every other city that’s not Fort Lauderdale, or on the coastline, that involves miles of travel towards specialized docks where yachts are waiting for their owners from a distance. For northern states, you’re often forced to wait for the ideal boating season.

For others, there are no docks or boat storage nearby or the waters aren’t ideal. And so the reasons continue.

Fort Lauderdale is the an excellent city for those who don’t want to be limited by boating access and enjoyment of the boating/waterfront lifestyle. Many waterfront homes even have seawalls, dockage, and/or boat lifts on the very home sites.

It’s also why you’d be hard-pressed to find a view of Fort Lauderdale’s waters that doesn’t have a yacht or watercraft floating on it.

Waterfront communities

The city is home to exclusive floating islands of waterfront communities conveniently placed right along the waters of the Intracoastal Waterway. It’s incredibly convenient for those who are called upon by the sea.

Fort Lauderdale features a high number of luxury homes and real estate throughout its boundaries, offering spectacular waterfront luxury properties.

In terms of architectural style, the city is a canvas for showcasing portfolios of some of the brightest architects and home builders. Fort Lauderdale’s finest Intracoastal properties simply occupy a league of their own.

Homes here are owned by some of the wealthiest individuals in the country and from abroad. The city’s sought-after tropical weather attract those whom have met their capacity of dealing with the harshness of the cold, snowy winters.

It’s no surprise given that the city is one of South Florida’s premier international luxury real estate destinations. For a variety of reasons, Fort Lauderdale has become one of the most attractive locations for owning real estate in the U.S.

People just can’t help but fall in love with this city.
